Apr 29 Updating previous items, the Long Beach Press-Telegram's Tony Jackson reports Los Angeles Dodgers SP Jason Schmidt (shoulder) is nowhere close to being ready to come off the disabled list when eligible Monday, April 30. The Dodgers have not put any official timelines on Schmidt's estimated return, but all signs point to him being out for at least another month. He has yet to be cleared to resume baseball activities because of continued symptoms of shoulder bursitis. "It's going to be a little bit of a slow process for him to build back up to the point where he will be able to throw," said Dodgers manager Grady Little.
