Was wondering that myself. Just picked him up and stashed him.

Yeah, but that was a little while ago. I'm getting a little antsy myself.

Apr 26 Schmidt (shoulder) is still a "long way" from pitching in a game, reports the team's official website.

Recommendation: At this point, it's sounding like anywhere between 1-2 months before Schmidt rejoins the rotation, assuming he doesn't need season-ending shoulder surgery at some point. It's probably safe to assume the organization will target a return sometime after the All-Star break, though that's just speculation at this point. This should secure rotation spots for Brett Tomko and Mark Hendrickson, assuming (a big assumption) that both pitch well enough to keep their jobs.

Honestly I think it depends on whose notes you believe. I saw the Yahoo! note that said around the ASB and was shocked. Then I just read on Rotoworld this morning that mid-May was likely.

Anyway, I think it's tough to say. I'm certainly hoping for closer to the mid-May estimate than July. !+)

I believe the Yahoo note is from RotoWorld. However, I probably should have investigated further before I waived him this morning. :-o
