This month long Pujols slump is really getting old!!!

Postby King-Kobe » Wed Apr 25, 2007 10:03 pm

I know guys so many posts about Pujols but this is really getting old. Thankfully I have him in a roto league so he hasn't damaged me too much as compared to h2h leagues.

Bot 8th: St. Louis
- A. Pujols doubled to deep right center, C. Duncan and D. Eckstein scored

I feel your pain, but as of now he's up to 5 HR and 14 RBI. Hardly Pujols-esque, but he's creeping back to repectability.

One hot week, and any talk of 'slump' will be in the rearview. I still say Albert finishes with his regular numbers.

Didn't they win something called the world series last year? How "The aren't very good" so shortly after winning it all in 5 games last season is what I'd like to know.

Pitching losses and bats very cold is all I can think of but I wouldn't expect them to be struggling so much early on.

Yeah, I'm not sure this post was necessary. Past week, Albert's hitting .318 with 1 hr and 5 rbis. And he just hit another double as I write this.

If you go back to the 4/18 3-hit game and include today's double, he's hitting .393 with 2hrs and 7rbis in the past 7 games. Umm, yeah, so he's fine.

He started 1 for 17, but since then he's hit .295 with 5hrs and 14rbis. The "slump" you're talking about lasted the first 5 games of the season. Stop with these posts already and get ready to enjoy it when he goes on a hot streak.

:~( :~( :~(

Albert Pujols should be hitting 4HR's and getting 15RBI's a week, what is wrong with him????

I'll tell you what...it's Baseball and it's still hard to hit a round ball coming at you 93MPH with a round bat, I don't care who you are. I love people who bitch about their top stars not producing this early on in the season. It's like "That's Albert Pujols so he'll automatically get 120/45/120 every season." Don't think so but here's an idea...trade Pujols now while he's sucking. I guarantee you that you will be more pissed off later on in the season when he is doing well. So many fools in the cafe.
