They mic up NFL players all the time. They should mic up one of the 1Bs and get the inside scoop.

Yeah thats why i think 1B is definately the best position in baseball. You get to meet EVERYONE that goes through there Amazing...

lmao this has 2 b the best useless thread i've ever seen. im curious too, nobody happens 2 kno a professional baseball player? if someone does find out! :-D

The Miked up Doug Meinieskaweitzelfizzlefodizzle back when he was on the Twins at first base. I don't remember any of it exactly, but it was pretty funny.

I saw an interview with Berkman once and he said he just shoots the breeze, family/cars/sports, unless he thinks the runner is going to steal second. He said he didn't want them to think he was distracting them and that they might not talk to him the next time they were at first.

It's a relatively small league, I'm sure most of these guys know each other enough to engage in small talk and friendly banter on the bases.

I'm sure they watch Baseball Tonight as well... "nice web gem the other day" or something.

I've seen Dempster miced up a couple times - but I don't think he's ever made it into the game when miced.
