As a current Ben Sheets owner and a Sheets owner in 05 and 06 I am not overly concerned with the injury. If it were his back or shoulder, then I would be concerned.
An MRI performed on Brewers right-hander Ben Sheets today confirmed he has a slight groin strain that is not considered serious.
Sheets suffered the right groin strain Wednesday while pitching in Chicago and exited after three innings. But he was reported to be "feeling much better" Thursday and was scheduled to rejoin the club in Houston. Sheets returned to Milwaukee for the examination and did not accompany the team to Houston Wednesday evening.
Sheets was listed as "probable" for his next scheduled start Tuesday against St. Louis at Miller Park. If he is not ready to pitch, he could be pushed back in the rotation or have a turn skipped.
Brewers spokesman Mike Vassallo said Sheets was examined by team physician William Raasch and received treatment after the MRI was done. No muscle tears were detected in the MRI.

RHP Ben Sheets threw in the bullpen on Saturday and manager Ned Yost said the Brewers' ace is close to being ready for his next scheduled start on Tuesday. Sheets left Wednesday's game against the Chicago Cubs after three innings because of a strained right groin. Yost said Sheets felt fine during his brief session on Saturday, but added that Sheets would be re-evaluated again on Sunday. "We will take zero chance with this," Yost said. "If he feels anything in the next day or two, we're going to probably skip him. As of right now, he feels fine."
