Despite being a Sheets owner, I'm actually kind of rooting for a DL appearance if that means it might be Gallardo time!!

I posted this in another thread:

I'm no doctor (well, not yet anyway, one more year of school until the doctorate), but it looked precautionary to me. It seemed to be for the same reason that Pinella sat Soriano with his sore hammy, since it's so wet and cold out (low 30's).

good news is, is that its not an arm or shoulder problem that held him out last year. bad news is its still an injury but i dont see him missing more then 1 start..

yeah, good call.

being a sheets owner -- atleast the injury is to the groin, not the shoulder/arm.

let's hope he doesn't miss much time.

Players today are such wusses. What happened to guys like Mickey Mantle who played through six injuries and a hangover everyday?

Man, I was happy when I looked at my roster and saw sheets had a 0.00 ERA through 3 innings... then I saw that it was already the 5th. Good thing he's been the worst out of all my current starters !+) Bit of a shame that I'll lose out on a two start week.

This sucks. I hope he's back soon bc I really was starting to like how my team was coming together. Oh well.

Chicago - Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Ben Sheets left the game against the Chicago Cubs today at Wrigley Field with a strained right groin. Sheets pitched three innings and allowed no runs on four hits. He was involved in a play at third base in the bottom of the third inning where he tagged out Chicago's Ryan Therriot, who was trying to advance on a wide throw from right field by Corey Hart after a single by Cliff Floyd. He stayed in to retire Derrek Lee on a fielder's choice grounder, but Elmer Dessens was warming up as the Brewers were batting in the top of the fourth and came into the game in the bottom of the inning.

meh, sheets injured sheets !+)

Drafting Sheets was just as bad as drafting Brian Westbrook... hopefully Sheets will end up with good numbers in the end as well.
