With prospects, I always take a flyer on them, but rarely start them immediately. You never know how a guy is going to react in his first major league start.
Toronto's lineup isn't elite without Troy Glaus, but they're plenty capable of doing some real damage -- I'd avoid using Hughes if you have better options, kind of a "wait and see" sort of thing today.
He's facing Josh Towers, so it's not like it's a bad matchup though.
Then again, I'm pretty conservative.
