Near last in my league, struggling bad!

Postby telix » Tue Apr 24, 2007 5:58 pm

I'm doing really poorly in HR, RBI, WHIP and ERA... and I don't feel like I should be!

Yahoo mixed, 5x5

C - Brian McCann
1B - Carlos Delgado
2B - Robinson Cano
SS - Miguel Tejada
3B - Chad Tracy
OF - Adam Dunn
OF - J.D. Drew
OF - Rocco Baldelli
Util - Sammy Sosa (OF)
Bench - Dave Roberts (OF)
Bench - Ray Durham (2B)
Bench - Chone Figgins (2B, 3B, OF) (DL)

SPs:
Carlos Zambrano
Claudio Vargas
Gil Meche
Javier Vazquez
Kevin Millwood
Chris Young
RPs:
Joe Borowski
Francisco Cordero
Jason Isringhausen
DL:
Cliff Lee
Jason Schmidt

I'm looking to trade one of my RPs, as I'm already decently far ahead in Saves, but no one is willing to get rid of a 30HR/100RBI batter for one of them, it seems. Opinions?

Well you have a few guys struggling there. Whats the size (teams) of this league.

I think your offense is solid. Delgado will be fine, and the only player I don't like is Tracy, but thats an opinion thing. You seem to have a lot of speed on your bench, and thats always in demand. I think your offense will iron itself out.

I'm not a fan of Milwood or Meche. Make grabbing some good MRP will help. Again, Zambrano will be fine.

You could ride your relievers for a while, then package one of them of. I wouldn't panic yet though.

Assuming this is a 12+ team league, your okay.

your SP's need major help. When Figgins comes back, I'd try and package Dunn and one of your relievers to pick up some some more consistent average and a decent SP in his place.

Do you have any suggestions for top-tier talent that is actually attainable? Most people will never let one of their top round draft picks go, it seems.
