I'm excited about this. Our pitching has been atrocious anyways, so why not throw him out there against big league talent and see what he's got? They did it with Wang a few years ago and it worked out just fine.

Wang was 25, not 20-21.

Big difference.

I just hope he doesn't get hurt.

I understand the age difference, but it sounds like Hughes is ready for The Show. Bonderman was thrown out there when he was 20. I think that if the guy is ready, it shouldn't matter how old he is. And as far as getting hurt, that could just as easily happen in Scranton as it could in the Bronx, so that is definitely not a reason to keep from throwing him out there.

Anyone know when would be the next game Hughes is scheduled to pitch? I may have to take a trip to the Ballpark to check him out...

Damn - no-hitter into the 7th and in total command...then a 1 - 2 month injury.

So frustrating.
