Hughes getting added to yahoo database

Do you guys think he'll stay up for an extended period of time? I'm not so sure he doesn't just make a couple of starts and head back down once people start coming back from injuries.

He's on waivers until 4/27 in my league, which puts him a day after his start on my team... then again, if he sucks I can cancel the waiver and if he dominates I should get him.

yeah i feel the same way...I was disappointed that in the yahoo leagues he won't be available off waivers till after his first start....but that could be a good thing, depending on how his outing goes

it depends on how he pitches. if he pitches well, then he'll definately get a longer look.

with the state of the NYY's rotation now, I think if he offers something positive, he's sticking around for a bit.

Anyone know what to expect out of Hughes as far as K/9 ?

The Yanks rotation blows right now. I have little faith in anyone but Moose, Pettite and Wang. For that reason Hughes will stay and be effective.

With Phil Hughes- I'd go back to Matt Cain's first year. Hughe's ERA will be a bit higher (3.50- 4.00) due to the league but, you don't pass up on a kid with his stuff.

We should definitely get a good look at him facing a very talented and dangerous Blue Jays lineup. I think this will give us a better than we got with Dice-K, since he was facing the Royals. But my expectations are this:
