After two ugly losses to start the season, Vasquez rebounded in a big way this week. The 24-year-old hurled five scoreless innings on Monday and six more on Saturday to lower his ERA to a respectable 3.48. Vasquez struck out 19 batters in those 11 frames, and now leads the IL with 28 on the season.

Just hope Virgil's great adventure doesn't damage his psyche. A rough outing in which it looked as if he never hit his stride out there.

Vasquez hasn't been quite as sharp since going back down. Can't help but think that shelling got into his head a bit.
