#2 waiver, who to take this year?

Postby PedroFan45 » Mon Apr 23, 2007 6:01 pm

I have the #2 waiver in my league, 12 teams, 5x5 dynasty. The #1 waiver is taking Hughes and I need pitching. Which pitcher not in Yahoo should I use my waiver on this year?

Gallardo
Adam Miller
Someone Else?

Yovani Gallardo for the Brewers would be a good target. I am not sure on the details of when he is supposed to be called up, but I am thinking he would be a solid September callup and he currently is not listed in Yahoo.

I would not simply look for pitching when it comes to prospects. If u wait on certyain people they may not get called up and u waste your #2 pick. Take the 2nd best prospect after Hughes.
Just traded BButler, BWood & JLoney for Mark Teixeira, Ryan Theriot & Renyel Pinto in a DYNASTY LEAGUE. Big gamble I know!

Take Phillip Hughes who is starting for the Yankees thursday.

Hmmm, I think the guy I would spend it on would be Yovani Gallardo. I like Adam Miller's potential, but I don't know if the Indians will start his clock this year.

Is Linecum or Bailey taken? If not, I would snatch them up. My top prospects that I would spend the WW priority on would be:

Philip Hughes
Billy Butler (but you don't want hitting)
Adam Miller
Yovani Gallardo

The last two IMO will put up about the same #'s so I would snatch up the fist one to get called up.

Hope this helps ;-D

Like i say if BButler is the next guy up grab him. If its someone else a top prospect grab him.

Just post it when the ime comes!

Im in the same predicament, I have the 2nd ww in a 20teamer. just dont know if #1 takes Hughes but I'll put in for it just in case.

Put in for Hughes just in case.

Take the first of Bailey, Butler, Lincecum, Braun, Miller (either), Wood, and Gallardo. You never know when the next one will be up, if at all this year. You get no points for keeping the #1 WW spot all year.

is hunter pence already in yahoo? I would say pence butler or A miller are the only ones i would blow the waiver on. consider many of the other top prospects are already in the system (lincecum, bailey, andrew miller)
