I play in a very deep 12 team dynasty league. I have an offer to trade Jason Bay for either Arthur Rhodes or Danny Graves. I need to start five outfielders, below are the outfielders on my current team and my relievers:

S.Stewart
B.Abreu
S.Green
B.Jordan
T.Redmon
J.D Drew
J.Bay

Guardado
Cordero
Nathan

I could use an upgrade to my closers. Is this deal worth making? If so, who? I am considering Rhodes over Graves. Billy Beane always seems to find a good closer for his team on the cheap.

Bay is a possible 20/20 player this year. I think Tike Redman will do good but doesn't have the power that Bay has. I'd see if he would take Tike first and if not then i would probably take that deal for Arthur.

Stay away from Graves. I don't see him having a good season..

Probably would benefit you, since you have a good collection of outfielders, and Bay would probably not be missed. I'd keep Redmon, Drew, Green, Abreu, and Stewart, then pick up Rhodes in the trade. There's a few good relievers in the Reds pen that might get their shot if Graves struggles (Reitsma, Wagner).

I'm not sure I'd do that trade. Bay should be solid for years to come and I'm not sold on Rhodes or Graves.

Your closer situation isn't all that bad. Nathan has the makings of becoming a solid closer for the Twinkees. Plus I can't imagine Guardado went to Seattle with the actual thought of being just a setup man all season.

Definitely stay away from Graves. I would hold off and see what Rhodes actually does in the closer role now. He may do fine but Bay could be a safer bet to hang on to.

I think the twins closer situation will be a nightmare for fantasy owners. I highly doubt they will give Nathan the ball to close.

THOMAS

you better get a better closer.
