Konerko?

Good God man! What is wrong with this guy? He was hitting below the Mendoza line before today's game in which he went O-fer six including three strikeouts, an inning ending double play and didn't hit a ball out of the infield.

Anyone heard anything about what's wrong with him? I'm about to bench him for the upcoming week to start Corey Hart (I know he's only platooning, but I don't have anyone better in my reserves).

he's really streaky.....it seems like any time he hits a home run he hits 2 in a game.

Konerko has been like this his entire career. Some seasons he's had almost a half season like this and then turned it around big time. He always ends up with good power numbers. Hang on, he'll turn it around eventually in a big way.
I've stayed away from him in the draft in the past because of his streakiness but, because he's been a little more consistent the past couple years, I went ahead and drafted him this season. His struggles so far are no suprise, though.

Konerko has always been a slow starter. From June on he is gold. Don't drop him, you will regret it. he will hit 35-45 hrs, hit 285-310 and have over 100 rbis and score about 90 runs. Bank it

Normally I'd agree and say Paulie is just going through one of his infamous streaks... BUT.... I've been to a couple of game this year and I've gotta say that Konerko looks like hell at the plate. He just doesn't look like the same player. His swing looks slow.

I had PK last year and let the streaks ride. But I agree that this year seems different. Can't put my finger on it, but he doesn't look smooth at the plate.

I was just offered Teix for Konerko, and will likely take the trade.

Teix is a more notorious slow starter. Teix never does well in the spring. I think he has more upside than Pauly, but Pauly is a lock for decent numbers. He is not near as streaky as Teix.
