Any opinions on this guy? I drafted him late in my 12 team 9x9 roto draft and he put up a couple of good starts. He had a great record last year, however he's gotten knocked around in his last two starts, though one was against the Mets. But has anyone out there watched him pitch? Is his stuff impressivie. Was the impressive record he put up last year a fluke?

I didn't see todays game but I saw his last one. He certainly wasn't gettting knocked around. He gave up 3 runs. His fielders let him down and the nats hit 2 out 2 strikes pitches that were actually very good. It was just unlucky. He got pulled in the 5th after 78 pitches becuase they had a rally going and they pitch hit for him.

C. James got a bit lucky last year. I like to think of him like the Chien-Ming Wang of the NL. An 11-4 record looks quite good but his ERA was like 3.8 something and his WHIP wasnt anything too special. I think the Braves just busted him out of jams. Don`t count on this guy too much, think of him as your #4 starter kind of material.

this guy tore up the minors. he had jus as good as numbers as rich hill did if not better. last year was not a fluke, jus give him sometime.

i dont think he will be however a #1 starter(like rich hill will become soon 1 day) but i think he will be a solid #2, though starts at Mets are not kind ones with that lineup, i wouldnt hold it against him
ummm lets go angels? :)

even in yesterday's start, he didn't look too bad (until the end when he apparently got tired and started getting his fastball up... and knocked over the wall). Something like 3 of the first 4 hits were of the infield variety...

His "stuff" isn't too overpowering, but his control and command are usually spot on. Couple that with a good amount of deception in his delivery and he's a solid #3 guy with the occasional flashes of #2.

great, thanks for the info. I currently have the guy pitching as my number five starter behind Webb, Lackey, Sabbathia, and Robertson. I was just wondering if I should hang pat with him as my #5 or pick up someone from the WW like Looper or Wolf.

I would take Chuck over Wolf
