Slowey leapfrogging Garza?

Postby Inukchuk » Sat Apr 21, 2007 12:54 pm

Slowey looks really good so far this year: 11IP, 11K, 0BB, 6H. I know it's early, but is there a chance that he gets the call rather than Garza once Ortiz/Silva/Ponson starts to pitch like they should?

I do like Slowey a lot. The Ks are a bit surprising given that he is not dominant. I think he is still behind Garza though. Twinkies have no reason to rush him up.

Slowley reminds me of Brad Radke imo, i think he'll make for a good #3 starter. i dont think he has the cieling for a #2 but if he raises the K's he could surprise.

He's more of a crafty hit the corners type pitcher.
