Anyone have an update on Garza? How is he doing in AAA? Any guesses on call up time and impact?

Garza vs Lincecum???

Thanks. Will reply to links.

Garza doesnt come close to Lincecum talent wise imo..... Lincecum profiles as a frontline guy and Garza at his peak is a 2 i think maybe a 3.

right now in 3 starts Garza has a line of:

0-1 2.77 ERA 13IP 15H 8R 4ER 1HR 9BB 12K

not a bad decent line but his command is still off having 9BB in 13 IP, he needs to spend more time down there and get a call-up in September.

3 Games started. 0-1, 2.77 ERA, averaging over 6 walks per nine, and 8 K's per nine. Not too bad.
If I were the Twins, I'd call Garza up regardless of how he's doing in AAA ball. Ponson is horrible. :-t

I'd guess an ETA for Garza might be late May. He struggled his 1st start but has settled down and posted a few quality starts in a row. He hasn't dominated like you would want to see before you call him up, but with how awful Ponson is, the Twins hand may be forced.

Kudos to GiantsFan14 for the sig.

Hasn't Slowey and maybe even Baker been outpitching him at Rochester?

I dropped him for Lincecum last week.
