That's really a tough one. You should tell them to wait two more weeks and if they still want to do it, let it go through then. I can see how some would want it vetoed though for sure. Still I'd get a league vote before doing anything.

I don't see much of a problem. One owner wants the up and comer, the other wants the sure thing. If the Kinsler side had one more fringe player thrown in, it would be a slam dunk. Still, I would let it pass as is. But like I always say, if you have a question, get your league to talk about it. ;-D

im really confused as to why you anyone would let this trade go through utley is a 1st round pick and the best player at a very thin position

do we all remeber kinsler's hot start last year? i believe utley blew him out of the water at the end of the season, i wouldn't let that go

Kinsler for Utley????

Postby Bizz6225 » Tue May 01, 2007 12:20 am

Absolutley Not. Utley is a proen player. Kinsler I beleive will have a good season but I do not think he is a Chase Utley YET!!!! Kids got great talent but hes still not as valuable as Utley is. Here are my reasons.

Utley was batting in a ok lineup. Pitchers no what he is capable of and he continues to do it.

Kinsler has not done it long enough. 2 things will happen to Kinsler. 1. he will be moved up in the order. 2. pitchers will not be pitching him as many pitches to hit as hes getting now. Im not saying he is protected but he will not be given as many pitches to hit and because of that his HR numbers will drop soon. Unless he is really this good. Which is possible.

I would say wait 2-3 more weeks before pulling this trade off. Dont do it now because if you do you could potentially give someone a first round pick for a undrafted player. U MUST BE CAREFUL OR PEOPLE WILL COME DOWN ON U FOR ALLOWING THIS TO GO DOWN.
