I was just browsing through my FA list and noticed a ton of unheard of players that have at least 3 starts and k/9 in the excess of 9....

Is this the year of the strikeout?

Yeah.... these guys have had 3 starts. That's less than 10% of the total starts they'll have this year. Let's get to, say May before we start talking about "trends" of this year, yes?

Just an interesting fact, not a trend.

Next time your at Mori's... try the sampler prepared by Mori himself... its a little pricey ($300 a person) but much better then the $50 sushi box :-b

Pitchers are usually ahead early on and add in terrible weather, I think it's understandable why hitters have been so cold.

Last year Wandy Rodriguez was 4-0 with a 2.53 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 21 K's in april.

All kinds of goofy stuff happens in April so I wouldn't read much into it. This season weather has messed up the rhythm of a lot of players and cold weather in general has made it a pitchers month.

ha 4 of my starters are k'ing at least 8 a game...strikeout pitchers are much more fun to watch
