A ridiculous decision on the part of the student government.
Not that I necessarily support the argument that the satire was sort of thrusting at, but censorship is a crude and ideologically flawed method of dealing with an argument you find offensive or disagreeable.
Reminds me of the Kids in the Hall skit, where a guy in office gets a promotion and he goes mad with power, abusing the very minor amount of authority that's been entrusted to him.

I grew up in Rhode Island, it is one of the most Democratic states in the country. I think it was the only state Dukakis won when he ran for President (he even lost Massachusetts)
