An Orchard Farm High School science teacher resigned a day after one of her classes was inadvertently shown about 15 seconds of a pornographic tape.
A letter to parents of children who were in the class said the incident occurred April 11. A substitute teacher, after reading a lesson plan, put in what was supposed to be an instructional video tape on volcanoes.
“When the videotape began to play, pornographic video images appeared on the screen,” the letter said. “The substitute teacher promptly shielded the screen away from the students and immediately stopped the tape.
“Although students were exposed to inappropriate material for approximately 15 seconds, this event demonstrated a profound error in judgment on the part of the regular classroom teacher.”
The letter to parents was signed by High School Principal Timothy McInnis.
Superintendent Dan Dozier said the school board, in an emergency closed session, accepted a teacher’s resignation Thursday night. He would not comment on whether or not the incidents were related.
Another teacher has been reassigned to cover classes for the teacher who resigned, Dozier said.

Saw something like that myself in 8th grade science, a kid had a tape and the teacher decided to not only take it from him but play it in the VCR. What made it even funnier was once it started she freaked and dropped the remote and the battery fell out and we got about 30 secs of a blonde having a killer orgasim, the teacher finally unplugged it when she could cut it off.

That's odd, I wonder what happened. She kept her porn in the classroom ... just because? Did she plan on using it to teach biology, or did she intend it as a gift for one of her students? Did she intend to bring the volcano video to class, but put the wrong tape in the wrong case without double-checking? Did she record the volcano program herself over one of her husband's old porn tapes, but forget to rewind first? Or was she trying to punk the substitute teacher?

The story doesn't say that either teacher was female.
I think I heard on the local news that the substitute was actually fired over this, too. I'm pretty sure that's the case because there were a bunch of students writing letters saying that one particular teacher shouldn't have been let go because it wasn't his/her fault. I sincerely doubt they were defending the regular teacher.

Funny how you assume the teacher is female. The article seems to go to great lengths to not disclose the teacher's gender.
Anyway, yet another one of those odd stories.

What I find interesting is the 15 seconds. That's actually quite a bit of time if you turn it on and count. Maybe the sub was in shock or something and didn't know what to think...or wanted to see what would happen next.

I could imagine her frantically searching the button panel or remote for the appropriate button to push.
Also, what I'm curious about was, was there any sort of credits or intro scene to the porn? I mean, most of the porn I've seen just doesn't start with two naked people getting down, usually there is at least some preamble where a semblance of a setup/plot is put together, the girl is interviewed, etc.
Did the sub not rewind the tape? I can just imagine, she hits play, and BAM -- FULL SCREEN VAGINA!
