Very annoyed with Yahoo right now for not putting him on the DL. Deciding whether to pick up Giles, Polanco or Kelly Johnson. I don't expect all that much out of Kendrick the rest of the way, unfortunately. Remember what happened to Coco Crisp when he broke his finger last season? This sucks :-/

Kendrick's absence means the Angels have a middle infield spot available. We're speculating that the Halos bring up super-prospect Brandon Wood to play shortstop with Maicer Izturis possibly moving over to second base.

Wood would play SS in a callup... and may not go back down with the way he can hit.

So... what happens to O. Cabrera??

No, I think Wood would mostly play at 3B.

I agree with that. They would be better using him at 3B. His future with the big club reside at this position.

OK, so Izturis moves to 2B, Cabrera stays at SS and Wood plays 3B... now, where does Figgins go when he gets back? I'm worried they'll send Wood back down then and have Figgins resume his role at 3B.

well, Maicer Izturis isn't exactly lighting it up or anything, so if Wood contributes, they could easily bench him for Figgins I would imagine.

Exactly, he's used mostly as a reserve infielder anyway.

They will not move Cabrera for Wood under any circumstances. Wood will play 3B.

Izturis will probably see the most time at 2B, with Aybar getting some starts maybe here and there. When both Figgins and Kendrick return, unless Wood is playing phenomenally I can see him getting sent back down.

Any word when/if Wood has actually been called up yet?
