Yeah, American Idol is about the dumbest thing ever. I think people watch it because it's on. Change the channel, get HBO, research cool, upcoming Indie bands or pop in a Netflix movie. So you're the only person in the office who doesn't talk about AI... is that really such a bad thing?

I don't see why there's so much hate for it. I don't care about it because it's not my kind of music. I do however enjoy Rockstar on CBS (although a 3rd season might not happen) which is almost the same show except with rock instead of pop.

Yeah, I like Rock Star too...

It's not the same thing though; not many people watch it, the "band" gets to pick who stays and who goes, and the music isn't gay (not that there's anything wrong with that).
