Chone Figgins Update

Postby lcp0209 » Wed Apr 18, 2007 6:27 pm

From KFFL via yahoo:

Apr 18 Lyle Spencer, of LosAngeles.Angels.MLB.com, reports Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 3B Chone Figgins (hand) took swings against live pitching Tuesday, April 17, and also played catch, throwing the ball 40-50 times.

Anybody know when he'll be back? How long of a rehab stint will he need?

I've read he'll be back by month's end. So figure some time in the first week of May.

Looks like he's coming back to lead-off too considering the productivity of the (alleged) human growth hormone in CF.

He's taking batting practice now.
Hopefully, he can start his rehab assignment next week and return the following week

Yup, a lot of fantasy owners got screwed over when Figgins hit the DL just like that. It's good to see him back on track. I think he could be back at the end of this week.

From the AAA Salt Lake wrapup:

Rehabbing Angels utility man Chone Figgins went 2-for-4 with a run scored while playing all nine innings at third base. Figgins, playing his second game with the Bees, broke two fingers on his right hand during Spring Training. ;-D

What is Figgins worth when he comes back?
I am in a H2H league based on points earned. No batting averages or on base percentage. Is he worth holding on to in this type of league or is a guy with more pop in his bad better?

Where did you get that info?
It was never the plan.
Matthews was brought in to leadoff and doin a great job.
In ST they were planning hitting him in 9th hole.
