Young closers: what do you see in 2003

What do you predict in 2003 for youngsters like Danys Baez, Franklin German, Luis Vizciano, and Braden Looper? Will any steal jobs, save 30+ games? Just throw out some numbers and ideas.

Thanks!

Looper and Baez already have the jobs - Baez will keep it - Looper may not. Spooneybarger could take over in Florida or Nunez.

Now, Vizcaino and German have a real shot IMO to surplant Dejean and Anderson. The only one in this group I see having a shot at 30 saves is Baez.

Franklin German - (Detroit Tigers - RP) Should be a lock to make the Tigers opening day team. He’s the closer of the future and the future could be now. Don’t count Matt Anderson out of the mix, but since these are two of the most valuable chips on the Detroit team, don’t be shocked if one or both end up changing teams.

25 saves, .300-.340 era, 80-90 k's

Wheres Mike MacDougal's name in this topic??? He should be good too. Although none of these guys are on good teams. Look for looper to loose his spot to Spooney or Nunez.

Nunez has proven himself.

He has proven that he sucks. :-t
