He doesn't even start and has had 0 steals on the season. He isn't even the biggest sleeper in the Phillies OF, that goes to Victorino. If you want a sleeper who comes off the bench and steals bases, look at Ryan Theriot of the Cubs. Bourn won't get consistent playing time unless someone gets traded or injured (he is in the same situation as Victorino was last year). When that happens he can be called a sleeper, but right now he is still asleep.

ahem...

Dynasty and keeper league managers need to pay attention ....

i dont think this pick was intended for the usual 12 team mixed leagues.

Some of you guys need to see outside the blanket that is your particular league style. There's more out there than 5x5 12-team mixed redrafts. He even mentions it in the article.

The only problem I see is that when I read this guy's name, I can't help but think Jason Bourne. :-b

Ah, rookies.

Everyone, if you're in a dynasty or keeper league and can stash Bourn on your team it would be in your best interest to do so. Bourn could get 2007 fantasy relevance in 2007 if Rowand gets dealt but until then no. But what if the next Carl Crawford is sitting on your FA market in a keeper/dynasty league and you don't pick him up? Opps.

Nice article, but I have to ask...
He is a playmaker and was named one of the most exciting players in the minor leagues by Baseball America.

Has anyone notified Jose Reyes of this? I think he would object to his "official" title being used on a scuzzy minor leaguer.

I'm not in those leagues, I am in leagues where Bourn is worth picking up. But that doesn't make him a sleeper at all.
