I've been offered Baldelli at $1 for Vernon Wells. Do I have enough built in power to sacrifice the HR and RBI for $$$ at the draft. Also Should I keep Vlad or take the $$ into the draft
Right now you have $203 tied up on 14 players. That only leaves $57 to get your final 9 guys.
If it's 23 players and a $260 cap, then you need to make some cap room up.

I would cut Vlad. That leaves you with 13 at $158, with $102 to spend. Vlad has only earned that price once. I would keep Wells. He earned $33 last year, and should be there or more, so you are getting his actual $30 value+. Baldelli will have more profit, but less true value. Keep the value.

I agree with your assessment of cutting Vlad loose, but take the highest expected profit when considering keepers in an auction league. Baldelli, who can earn $15 or so for $1 is a much better keeper than Wells, coming off a career season.
I agree...cut Vlad...but I also would cut Buerhle......

agree, and do the trade too. I wanna be as cheap as possible going into draft day. The more I have the better
Cut Vlad
Cut Burhle
Cut or trade Vernon
Prior for 1.00 is just plane stupid .... In knowing that I have that kind of value in pitching, I'd be tempted to cut Halladay too. But alas he is a good deal.
And ya won't get helton back at that price either.. he stays .
i'd cut vlad, Halladay, Buehrle and renteria and the rebid on these guys. I'm also tempted to drop Vernon wells if i'm you just because he might have a slight decline in production this year now that he is getting well known.
Maybe not but I think you could redraft him for close to the $30 you already have him for and who knows what other players might be out there...
