Out of curiosity, what are some people's projections for what Snell will do this year? Is he the kind of guy that you'd actually feel confident about as a #3 or so in your rotation, enough so that you'd be willing to go out and trade for him? Or is he still just a guy who you're happy you picked up as a late-round flier and will ride as long as he lasts?

He's the real deal, my friend. He's not going to be uberdominant or anything right now, but if he's rounding out your rotation, you are in great shape.

I wonder about his build, though. Don't small, power pitchers tend to have problems with injuries?

I noticed that. I was at the game in St. Louis when he pitched, and I commented to my father that I thought I was watching Jeff Suppan pitch with the way that Snell was pounding the ground with his breaking pitches.

Of course, Suppan doesn't have that fastball.
