I was on a Cubs message board and numerous people said that ESPN 1000 radio said that the MRI results were negative and Soriano does not have a tear.

It's not a tear...it's a strain.

Manager Lou Piniella said the medical staff told him a three-to-four-inch strain was evident, and Soriano was scheduled to have an MRI exam today.

MRI results showed no serious damage to Soriano’s left hamstring, but he expects to be out of action from 7-10 days.
