It looks like you think Beckett threw at Vlad on purpose. You could not be more wrong. Beckett is very agressive and will throw inside frequently, especially with 2 strikes on a batter. Going inside in normal conditions means pinpoint accuracy. The weather in Boston was cold and wet today which most definately made grip a factor. Plus, why would he throw at a star player for no reason when he has David and Manny to risk.
That being said, warning both benches after three batters was crazy. I know they do it to avoid retaliation, but players and managers are much smarter and know more about the game than we do. There is no doubt that they knew it was not intentional. It was unfortunate but not intentional.
