with ryan on the dl....frasor was supposed to be the new closer...but he was unavailable since he pitched yesterday

i just checked and he pitched yesterday...30 pitches so that's probably why.

This doesn't make sense at all. Relivers can pitch back to back games.

Frasor was unavailable after blowing the save yesterday. He's still the acting closer. Relax everyone!

I am wondering the same thing. I am guessing that Frasor pitched 30 pitches in 1 1/3 innings yesterday, so he got rest. Hopefully it's not a committee thing. It's worth monitoring because the Jays have so many guys, Accardo and Marcum. I still think Frasor is the favorite still because he was won the setup role.

He threw more than 30 pitches.. its normal for a RP to get the day off after throwing that much the day before.
