"Manager Sam Perlozzo said catcher Ramon Hernandez (strained left oblique) hit off a tee on Saturday and was expected to do the same on Sunday. If all goes well, Hernandez will take batting practice with the team on Monday, and could be activated a day or two after that."

I decided to start him this week in my league with weekly lineup changes. Not too many catcher options out there... I would rather have no production than a .200 batting average and .600 OPS kill my team.

Thanks for the post River Rat, I was wondering about Hernandez ... if you were in my shoes, would you roll the dice and start Hernandez (weekly, not daily, lineup changes) or go with Bengi Molin in week 3?

I have wonderful Yadier Molina starting until Hernadez gets healthy. I hate taking zeros but Molina is almost a zero anyway. Is Hernandez say 3 games better then Molina at 5 or 6?

Yes.. I am starting him...

I think his three games are better than any of the bottom feeder fantasy catchers out there....

He will be well rested and is one of the hottest starters at his position out there!
