5th STARTER........................

Postby whitesox04champs » Sun Jan 04, 2004 1:45 am

Hopefully we get a solid #3 pitcher(Sidney Ponson) but assuming you dont I'll put up this poll...............

I am interested in Kris Honel but the sox will never bring him up becuase of their failures with Kip Wells and Jon Garland in putting them in the majors quickly.............(If you don't follow the sox, kip wells sucked before we traded him)

My choice is Felix Diaz........His body is similar to Pedro Martinez.......He has great stuff but has always been injured.............

Another spot the Sox need to adress...from my guesses...right now the rotation will be..

1)Loaiza
2)Buerhle
3)Garland
4)Wright
5)Schoeneweis

I don't think that Diaz or Rauch are ready to come up yet....

Diaz would be a good option, but I'd also be interested in seeing what Rauch can do...

That should sum it up for me too. Except, Buerhle would be #1 (at least by June). Looks pretty sad. I hope we can get Ponson. I doubt it.

As for Rauch, I was hoping for BIG things from him. I saw him pitch live and he's like 6'11, but Jamie Moyer has a better fastball.
