the walks have always been a problem which is why he isnt a top tier pitcher. his whip is a bit too high for that. he actually only gave up 3 hits tonight. so when he was in the strike zone he was fine. he just happened to walk a ton of guys and 2 of the 3 hits he surrendered were HR's to Lee. he will turn it around

Was that the same Rotwieller aggression he took out on his wife...? Maybe he should save that for the ballpark rather than leaving it at home.

I looked back at last year and he started off with 2 five inning no decisions in which he gave up a total of 6 runs. He then got a win on his 3rd try with a 7.2 inning shutout and then 2 losses with a few no decisions mixed in while giving up just 10 runs in that 5 game span. What I was looking for was a pattern, but he did pretty well to start off the season and was overall pretty consistent last year...2005 was a lot of the same in the early going.

This year worries me since he has given up a lot of runs to start the season, something he hasn't done in recent years. I'm not saying he'll be horrible, but I thought he'd be better than this to start.
