Better sleeper on a bad team, Greinke or Snell?

Postby BobbyRoberto » Fri Apr 13, 2007 6:35 pm

Greinke and Snell have both pitched well to start the year, but are on bad teams. Who's the better sleeper?
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'

Who's the better sleeper or who will post the better numbers? There's a difference. Otherwise, you'd have to factor in where each player was ranked before the season -- and Greinke would have the early edge considering he wasn't even on most people's radar heading into this season -- while Snell was already considered a solid wire addition with upside.

If you are just picking one of the two I think Snell will put up better numbers this year, including a lot of strikeouts. Greinke might be on the waivers but Snell probably will not be.
