It's been beaten to death by every media outlet. I'm sorry for the Rutgers women and yes Imus crossed a line but he was fired for his actions and that should be the end of it IMO. If he wants to have a meeting with the team that's great but whether or not the team accepts his apology really has no affect. He made a mistake, like many hosts have done and he apologized and lost his job. What else is there that can happen?

I don't agree with what he said, but it was not racist. It's a case of women making a bigger deal out of something than it really is. No offence women.

Actually, everyone, men and women, are making a bigger deal out of it than it really is. I made this thread because I thought it could become a popular thread.

I'm kind of confused then. You're saying everyone made a bigger deal out of it than it is (I agree BTW) so why are you starting a thread. That will only make it a bigger deal and keep the story popular when it should just go away at this point.

I don't think it's women, I think it's the entire black community.

I'm not going to get into this because it's not going to be productive, but I will say that it was a stupid thing to say (and not even funny). However, the fact that black people can say things like "hos" and it's ok, but white people can't, is stupid. Especially because they can also say "honkey" and "cracker" and it's not considered overly inflammatory.

I thought the whole point of the civil rights movement was to make it so everyone has the same freedoms. That's obviously not the case.



Now I'm done. Unless I have to come back to lock this.
