What trade will be made?

Postby ArsenalHB » Sat Jan 03, 2004 12:38 pm

It's clear the Angels need to trade one of their pitchers. Who will it be and for who? Ortiz would be most likely to go, probably for a 1B, ( I'm hoping Sean Casey).

Any thoughts

Looks like Ortiz is still the pitcher they'd like to move most, but will he draw the offer they're looking for? Not sure about that.

Definitely something worth following...

Casey would be a great grab for the Halos .... and it seems a natural. Cincy needs pitching and could easily move Dunn to 1B. Casey is still relatively young too ..good call ... where have you heard that ... ???

Ortiz-2,266,667 according to ESPN, and it was said he signed a multi-year deal in 2002 for 3 or 4 years.

That is chump change when you figure that Aaron Sele is making almost 8 million bucks and still owing Kevin Appier $15.67 million.

As for Sean Casey, he is making 5,600,000. Which seems a bit high for Casey if you ask me. For that much you can get Raffy, a sure fire HOF and more butts in the stands.

I'd say they are probably just better off signing Palmeiro.

Why did they let Fullmer go? :-? Texas got him for 1 year, 1 million. Pretty good deal in my opinion.
