New Member, wanted to throw this up while I tried to contribute elsewhere. Will try to help you if you help me. This is my first year playing fantasy baseball. My league and team is as follows:
6x6 H2h bi-weekly matches, max 4 starts per matchup, 27 man roster, 9 active hitters(regular spots + util), 4 relief spots(Can't put relievers in starter spots), 4 starter spots. First year of long term auction style keeper league. Elligibility 15 games last year, or 10 games this year.
Cats: R, Hr, Rbi, Sb, Obp, Slg, W, Sv, K, IP, Whip, Era
C: Victor Martinez
1b: Richie Sexson/Youkilis
2b: Chase Utley
SS: Carlos Guillen
OF: Francoeur, Vladimir Guerrero, Adam Dunn/Youkilis
Util: Travis hafner
Res: Troy Tulowitzki, Joey Votto(minors), Carlos Quentin(dl)
SP: Hill, Snell, Dcab, Sowers, Hirsh, Maholm, Garza, Olsen, slowey, Adam Miller,
RP: Krod, Ray, Putz, Billingsley
Its a 3 year keeper format where you pay each year what you payed at auction for your keepers with a max of 90$ which is why I have so many young pitchers.(also because I put a lot of $$ into hitters, and closers) Having 4 starts per matchup(the max) is generally optimal which is why so many starters.
Just keep in mind when evaluating that we _dont_ use avg, but obp and slugging, so guys like ichiro and cano are far less valuable than an .avg league.
I think I have the strongest hitting team, despite being "middle of the road" on sbs.
My starting pitching is young but has been good so far.
Any ideas, help, thoughts would be greatly appreciated, will check back in a bit while I try to contribute to others.
