He has quitely been hitting real well in Toronto so far this season. He's in a great lineup and is young. He hasnt shown much power but hes had a consistently good average. What are your impressions of him?
He's a good player, but he's only worth a roster spot in an AL only or deep league. He doesn't have the power, speed, or run/rbi totals to be a starter in a 12 team league.
I agree. He is not a starter in a 12 team mix league, but in deeper leagues he has some value.
He won't hit for much power, but if you are looking for someone who will hit .300 and has 2B, SS eligibility, he's worth a shot.
He should hit 7th, 8th, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Jays use him in the 2 spot some time this season. No speed though and that's basically what hurts his value. You can live with a guy at 2B who doesn't hit HR, but steals 15 bags a year.
He will probably have 10 to 12 HR this year. Thats decent power and will have a ton of HR if they move him to second. I would like to see him there but unless they deal Reed or Rios he won't play there. Hopefully they trade one of those dudes for a pitcher.
What's the scoop on Toronto's Aaron Hill? He's been amazing so far this season -- but I don't follow baseball like I used to. Is he someone who had the potential and is on the verge of big things, or a flash in the pan wonderboy?
Great question ... I just picked him up in my 12-teamer. My current 2B is Marcus Giles, and I need 9 more games from BJ Upton at 2B to qualify. Thought it was worth a stab to give Hill a look. Anyone been watching Jays' games regularly? Is this kid for real?
he had 6 hrs in over 550+ at bats last year if i recall correctly. So the fact that he has 33% of that a week in screams flash in the pan. They have also faced rather weak pitching imo.
I picked him up to play over Barfield who was a bit of a flier and has completely wilted after a hot first couple games. He's worth a shot, but I never expect players to come out of no where and dominate all season.
Who knows though, maybe he's the next Brian Roberts circa 2005
