gets his first save opp tonight and right now hes got a single to chipper, a wild pitch, and a walk to andruw...if he blows this save i think i may have to drop him soon (ive been trying to trade him) in my 10 team keeper league

He'll likely be traded in real life at the all-star break since he's a pending-FA this year.

don't drop a closer.. especially one with job security and a track record like cordero

even if the nationals only win one game a week that can add up

haha...wasnt really serious...just frustrated with my RP this year...i had cordero, fuentes, torres and dotel and thought that would be plenty but so far not so good.

I'm going to assume you're joking. Unless Saves are extremely devalued in your league for whatever reason, even considering dumping a guy like Cordero would be a rookie mistake. When you get past the upper tier of extremely expensive closers, Cordero's one of the best options out there. Yeah, he hasn't gotten a lot of opportunities early, and when he has gone out there, he's looked rusty. Well, yeah, he probably is. But the opportunities will come. The Nats may not win a lot of games, but when they do win, they sure aren't going to be blowouts. You may not have had any luck dealing him, but my guess is at least half of your league would put in a waiver claim if you dropped him. Without seeing your roster, this is one of the last guys you cut.

i picked cordero up as a free agent today... i don't understand how. it's a shallow league with weird settings, but he's still worth more than most closers.
