Eventually they do need surgery and iirc, it's a couple of months minimum recovery. I'm guessing its a question of whether he'll play through it again for another season and have the surgery in off season. And yes it could be one of those day on - day off things.

Hard to guess what will happen but I think we need to check out the backups. I'll wait for if he actually goes on DL since I have plenty of hitting elsewhere.

I read this morning that he'd "only" be out 4 weeks if he had surgery.

Local sports radio reports Glaus will be rested for the entire Detroit series this weekend, at least. :-/

Apr 14 The Toronto Blue Jays hope to avoid putting 3B Troy Glaus (heel/hamstring) on the disabled list, according to the Associated Press. In addition to a sore left heel, Glaus also has a sore left hamstring, and was unable to play Friday, April 13, against the Detroit Tigers.

I hope he doesn't go on the DL as my 2 DL spots are filled with Wang and Matsui :-o :-t

if he isn't playing it doesn't matter if he is DL or not.

plenty of sb punting savvy players have troy as their SS in Yahoo leagues, this really sucks.
