Andrew Miller's start yesterday

Postby J35J » Thu Apr 12, 2007 5:57 pm

Anyone hear why he wasn't very good? I know its only 1 start but he's only in A ball and should be mowing people down? His line didn't look very encouraging.

Like you said, its only his first start. Maybe just nervous. Hes also young. But he's got the stuff to be a big leaguer and im pretty high on him.
Is pushing for President Obama to pass a law requiring all citizens to be Chicago White Sox fans and make October 1st "White Sox Day" where we all dress as our favorite player. It maybe socialist, but I don't care.

Miller struggles, Maybin homers twice for Lakeland
Posted by Scott Warheit April 13, 2007 00:30AM

Andrew Miller's second start for the Lakeland Tigers was not nearly as successful as his first (perhaps calling for Miller's promotion was a bit hasty) but according to the Lakeland Ledger, Cameron Maybin homered twice for the Flying Tigers.

April 12, Lakeland Ledger: The Flying Tigers had some big hits Wednesday night but Fort Myers had more of them and swept a Florida State League double-header from Lakeland, 5-4 and 6-4.

Most fans in the Joker Marchant Stadium crowd of 486 probably thought the first game was in hand when the Flying Tigers built a 3-0 lead and had Andrew Miller on the mound heading into the fourth inning of a seven-inning game.

But the Miracle reached Miller for two runs in the fourth and two more in the sixth and earned their first victory of the season. The Flying Tigers lost despite two home runs apiece by Cameron Maybin and Dusty Ryan.
