But If you prefer a shallower league so you're not starting platoon guys or playing pitching matchups with the 4th and 5th starters from Colorado or Washington I'm not gonna hate you on it. I like the challenge of it, but to each their own.

Sounds like that would require lineup adjustments every day. Probably not everyone's cup of tee (bear in mind that the cafe isn't a typical sampling of fantasy players :-b )

I'm starting Kielty today. And he's not doing so hot :-[
Are you interested in joining a 28 teams dynasty league? If so, PM me.

Actually it is a weekly transaction/lineup league.....I myself would prefer daily lineup adjustments, but like you said, not everyone's into that. But even with it being weekly, I still prefer the deeper league. Not saying shallow leagues are for sissies. Matter of fact, I was defending shallow leagues even though I myself prefer deeper leagues.

My 8 team league is fun because we put a limit on the adds/drops. it's 30 moves total this season. That kind of limits people from picking the best guys out there from week to week. We also made specific OF positions this season-LF/CF/RF. It's much harder that way.

But yeah, I normally prefer at least 10 teams with 20-25 players.

You probably want at least a few full time players sitting on the waiver wire or your league is too deep. On the other hand you want a league where a good platoon player still makes a team or you aren't deep enough.

I'm in a 14 team league with 14 hitters and 10 pitchers and its almost perfect in depth as there are players sitting on the wire that could be valuable still but you aren't picking up all stars off waivers like in a yahoo default league.
