Looks great to me. I am not sure what kind of teams the other guys have though with it only being 6 teams.

Agreed with kentx; six-team leagues are always hard to gauge, but this looks like a solid team. A lot will depends on the performance you get from Piazza and your infield, and you may wind up having to tweak your sp/rp ratio, depending on what the other teams are doing, but this foundation should put you in a good position to compete. ;-D

And welcome!

I'm worried about the health of pitching staff. Nearly all of them spent time on the DL last year.
You might also want more guys that steal, but it's not a big worry.
And Arlo makes a good point about the SP/RP ratio. If your league is into those closers of old, you should trade for a starter (I'm worried about Hoffman's 40% tear.. thanks, wrveres). That would make a big difference.

Your closers jump out at me. Percival had an injury last year, Hoffman still has a 40% tear in his rotator cuff, and Nen is coming back off injury. Which closers are still on the wire?

Rhodes

Postby whitesox04champs » Sat Jan 03, 2004 4:34 pm

I recently picked up Arthur Rhodes and dropped Mike Macdougal.

My team is filled with guys that were injured last year and I got most of them in the latter rounds.

If my team has few injuries I believe I have this league in the bag.............
