Trade Involving CUtley for several of my prospects

Postby powenM » Thu Apr 12, 2007 2:25 pm

It seems like a lot and deciding who to drop might be hard also.

I might be able to ask him to throw in Reed Johnson, Im not sure though.

He wants ESantana, TLinceum, BWood & FPie for Utley.

What do u think?

This is a hard trade to really evaluate. I don't know if I'd do it personally. I believe in a 20 team league good pitching is really hard to find and you'd be dealing Ervin and Tim. Utley is a great player at a weak position but, I think your giving up to much elite talent especially in a league of your size. I'd rather have the prospects and Ervin Santana to be honest especially in a 20 team league.

Bring on Utley to my team. I will take stud MLB players all day every day over prospects.

Yes. Unless you're already playing for next year, this is a win for you.

Even if I am playing for next year, I will gladly build my team around a stud 28 year old 2nd baseman.

Um yeah, I meant playing for 3 or 4 years down the line when those prospects should be contributors. And that there is no guarantee.

I'd do it. Erwin Santana could be good, but has done a lot yet. Lincecum is very good, but has injury questions (TINSTAPP), Wood has huge upside, but there are questions about his k rate and his batting average.

DO it.
