Mauer is the man. Obviously (look at my display name....lol). Lee and Delgado are rock solid and usually on corners you can get the lower tier guys and concentrate on other areas earlier on and be a great team. Utley is a stud and Giles is a good bet to be better than last season. Wright will help Lee and Furcal and others (you got speed!) to keep you rockin in SB for the season. Bonds...even thought I hate him and he has burned me in the past....I love him....even though I no longer draft him. He should have a very good season. Young is gonna be a monster. Question is....does that start this season. Wigginton is awesome to have on your bench.
SP:
F. HERNANDEZ
C. HAMELS
J. VAZQUEZ
I. SNELL
Z. GREINKE
King Felix may struggle for wins on that team....but....is amazing. Same thing for Greinke and Snell is a lil less amazing but great....just on a team that will not provide great run support. Hamels I'm not a big fan of....but many others are. Vazquez is your veteran presence, which, I think every fantasy rotation needs.
RP:
JJ PUTZ
F. CORDERO
J. VALVERDE
B. WICKMAN
J. BOROWSKI
Now closers on teams that are not great are almost as good as ones on dominant offensive teams...if they have solid stuff. Putz falls in that category and should have a great seasons. Cordero I love and yes....I endured the madness last season where I drafted him....dorpped him....and picked him up again later on. It did not make me happy....but....look at how he pitched in Milwaukee. Lights out. Bottom line....he is in a new league, on a fresh start on a new team, in the easier NL (although it is not the same for closers in the NL as starters cause usually pitchers get pinch hit for late in close games) and he has been rock solid since the trade. Valverde can be a little volitile but maybe this season he settles into the role more and is notsomuch volitile. Wickman is.....solid? Pretty sure. Borowski = cringe. But, he is a closer. 5 closers? Wow......excellent draft!
I lead almost every pitching category, but the offense is slow (Less Vernon Wells and Delmon young). I made it a point to not concentrate on pitching during the draft and so far it is the only thing that has kept me in fifth. Any suggestions or should I just wait?
