Padres Bullpen

I dont even know if there is a stat for this but the ENTIRE Padres bullpen has yet to allow a run, earned or otherwise this season. By my calculations it has been approx 28 1/3 innings.

That is sick, no idea of the record or if there has ever even been one kept on something like this.

After tonights game team era might drop round 2 and team whip right around 1.00

They've played six games against the hapless giants... take it with a grain of salt. and don't listen to the padres commentators for too long or blood will start squirting out of your ears...

With that said, their bullpen is very good.

The Padres' bullpen corps has now worked 28 1/3 innings this season without giving up a run. That's already the longest streak in club history to open a season and is creeping up on the longest scoreless stretch at any point (32 innings, set in 1978).

Meredith is awesome. If Linebrink ever gets moved, then I expect him to step right into the set up role.
