Wait, we're missing something here. Chris Carpenter is the consensus #2 SP this year, usually picked 2nd round somewhere. He sucked opening day (well, night), then got hurt, got worse, and is on the DL.

Isn't there a cafe rule that states every time a pitcher gets hurt some moron is supposed to post a "see, I told you so" thread about how he never drafts pitchers early and this proves why? You know, he'll brag about he's won his Yahoo public league 3 years running by never drafting a pitcher til the 8th round then picking up Oswalt and Zambrano, and what follows is a spirited and informative debate about player valuation and risk management.
