Where to buy online?

Does anyone know a reputable place online that I can buy a few baseball cards? I want to spend about $50 as a gift. I want to buy a few cards on prospects or potential stars (or people like Prior).

This is going to sound weird BUT the best place to get the most for your $50 is to try local flea markets. I bought cards at close to 75% off when I was living in Virginia a few years back. I don't collect no more.

Online, try http://www.ebay.com ...you can get some good deals with people selling their own personal collections at bargain prices. It's obviously in auction format but generally 40-60% off book prices.

I have bought some from ebay. Everything has always been as advertised and if you are willing to look you can find some nice buys.

Thanks. I guess I'll go with eBay. It's for a 13 year old so maybe I'll buy the packs of cards. The bid says they're at least 10 year old packs of Topps, etc. cards

eBay is always a good choice. Make sure the seller has good feeback though. You can trust me, I've got about 600

Personally i say skip ebay all together and take your money to a local card shop and explain how much money you have and ask what you can get with it. Most places will have an entire box of cards[should be about 24 packs] and you will be supporting a small business in your local area.

Depending on where you live they might have local card shows where all the dealers show up to sell stuff, chances are things there will be a bit cheaper as well. If you need help finding a local card shop or show, let me know.
