I'd say he's more unlucky, since he can't get any wins because of all the unearned runs his defense is costing him. The runs are unearned because they're not his fault.

Zito is a great candidate here. He gets off to a shaky start a lot, and then becomes nearly unhittable by the end of the year.

what about Chris Carpenter?
with his injury concern right now id say his value is low, but if he can return fully healthy he does have the ability to be dominating.

I'd say Chris Carpenter. Although you won't get him dirt cheap, he's arguably the second best fantasy pitcher and you could get him cheaper than what he usually goes for.

Well, his value is low because he could miss the entire season, for all practical purposes. I wouldn't give up anything more than a #3 starter for him--someone like Bronson Arroyo.

I sold high (before the season started) on zito and traded him and aramis for juan pierre, trevor hoffman, and ben sheets. good trade so far. Zito's awwwwwwwful.
